Mr. Wilson has grown his problem resolution business to serve the growing complex problems that face many lending institutions and bankruptcy courts.

Mike Bergthold, a highly-experienced financial executive, reduces complex problems into actionable plans to drive immediate and measurable positive results. He leverages over 30 years of experience advising public and private companies on strategy, finance and accounting to serve as financial advisor, interim executive, or in a strategic board role for companies facing high growth or other challenges.

These challenges can be changes in customer or product mix, expansion into new territories or technologies,  management teams missing a key member, or myriad other issues.  Cash flow improvement driven by customer and product profitability analysis is a foundation for many of these projects and typically deliver meaningful results quickly.  

As an interim CEO, CFO, president or director of companies in transition, Mike skillfully guides management teams and stakeholders through strategic planning; budgeting and forecasting; complex negotiations; and recapitalizations. 

Mike was a licensed CPA in California and Arizona for 25 years. Prior to joining Stapleton Group, he held positions at EY and Andersen and was a senior executive at accounting and IT outsourcing firms. Mike’s industry experience includes apparel, agriculture, diagnostic laboratory, retail, manufacturing, professional services, real estate, transportation and IT services.
