Blake Alsbrook

Blake Alsbrook acts as a receiver and counsel for prominent receivers throughout California appointed to general equity, Family Code, rents and profits, Health and Safety Code, and regulatory receiverships. He also provides legal counsel for and acts as a partition referee, successor trustee, and provisional director in matters involving property and business disputes.

In addition to advising fiduciaries on the impact of California and federal law on their practice, Blake has significant civil litigation experience defending and prosecuting actions on behalf of receivers and businesses, and regularly practices and argues before the California Court of Appeal and the United States Bankruptcy Court.

Josh Mandel

With broad litigation experience in business and real estate disputes, Josh Mandell devotes his practice to all aspects of commercial litigation, including breach of contract matters, fraud claims, lender liability issues, and business torts. He represents financial institutions, secured lenders, commercial landlords, property owners, and real property receivers in real estate litigation. Josh also has extensive experience resolving matters in state and federal court through arbitration.

In addition to his litigation work, Josh is an active member of Akerman’s Cannabis Practice, which provides counsel to clients on the complex legal and business issues impacting companies with interests in the medical and adult-use cannabis industries.

Peter Ingersoll

Peter spent his high school summers loading trucks in the sweltering Philadelphia heat and learned the basics of real estate by building barns and houses with his uncle’s construction companies.

As a wrestler, Ingersoll was recruited by the University of Pennsylvania, where he became the captain of the wrestling team in his senior year. He is a graduate of The Wharton School, ranked as the number one business school in the world, with a BS in real estate finance.

Ingersoll has more than 30 years of real estate, trust, banking, and investment experience, as well as construction and development. He is adept at complex capital structures and the corresponding operating agreements, including basis transfers during recapitalizations and deals using preferred equity and mezzanine debt.
